Domaine Du Roc, 1884 Villars

Conveniently located in the heart of Villars-sur-Ollon, in truly private and tranquil settings in the Swiss Alps, Domaine Du Roc offers you luxury apartments and chalet’s in spacious and magnificent surroundings, with great wide views of the surrounding Swiss and French Alps.

 

Villars was one of the first ski resorts in Switzerland.  The slopes of the Bretaye region were perceived as ideal for this activity. As of 1906, horse-drawn sleighs transported the most seasoned skiers to Bretaye each day for 13 francs, but the area had to wait until the inauguration of the Bouquetins train in 1913 for skiing to develop seriously. The skiers then had to walk up to Bretaye (approximately 600 metres).

 

In 1936, the first ski lift was built in the combe at Chaux Ronde. A Swiss first, this was a ski lift onto which the skiers were obliged to fasten themselves with a large leather belt in order to be pulled back up the mountain.

Domaine Du Roc consists of 3 large chalets each having 6 elegant family apartments and 2 exquisite penthouse apartments. In addition Domaine Du Roc also has two large individual chalets spread over three floors.  The buildings are situated on a large plot surrounded by lush, natural landscaping with a 180 degree South/West undisturbed view of the Swiss and French Alps.

 

The apartments  in Roc I and II are ready now. For Roc III the apartments will be finished beginning of 2020 and for the individual Chalets Coco and Grace end of 2020. The apartments/chalets can optionally be complete with everything you require Furniture, soft furnishings, glass and cookware, bedding and linens will be in place for you to enjoy your new residence the moment you arrive. You can then further personalize your apartment or house at your convenience.
